"I don't remember any Ranes being state alchemists," Roh pointed out, crossing her arms. "And last time I checked, looking for someone, even if you wanted revenge, does not require tearing up the city, moving buildings, and walking around innocent bystanding citizens with swords." Roh's green eyes watched him. While she watched she uncrossed her arms, flexing the right absentmindedly.

"Revenge? not a state alchemist? What are you guys talking about?" Centivir was really lost now.

Rane looks over to Centivir "hey why don't you do me a favor and go look for a file on Gelu Valez". Rane gave a small laugh behind his mask.

"If you'd been here from the beginning, you'd know," Roh said tartly. Her arm always ached when foul weather was on the way, and she knew it was now. "To sum it up he's" she pointed to Rane, "not a state alchemist, and he's looking for someone, who told him to come when he was ready to take revenge."

Centivir's eyes shot up in surprise. who is this person? he thought to himself. There were only two people who knew that name, and one of them was dead. He turned around and stormed out the door, knowing what to do.

Ray shifted uncomfortably. "wait" she growled. "you cant just come waltzing in here, demanding files from us. Those files are for the use of the state only. And clearly, you do not have the right to view them."she said, her eyes flashing dangerously as she glanced at Roh.

Centivir ran straight out of the room. that name..... its been awhile, Centivir thought to himself. He knew that the others wouldn't know who that was. how did this guy find out about him? Centivir was beginning to wonder who this man was. oh well, might as well head back, I'd better explain things..... Centivir sat down and began to piece together how much he was willing to tell the others inside.

Ray watched Centivir leave and gave an angry snort. She shook her head, and tapped her fingers on the table, impatient.

Cenitivir finally stepped inside, avoiding the eyes of those looking at him. He took a deep sigh and finally lifted his head. He began to talk. "None of us have been an official state alchemist for that long... so this isn't common knowledge for you guys," he said nodding toward Roh and Ray. "As a matter of fact, the military has done a good job of keeping this hidden. I was sure I was there were only two people who knew about this incident, but it looks like this guy knows what happened here all those years ago." Centivir looked at Rane, with confusion, curiosity, and contempt. "I don't know how you found out, but I intend to get to the bottom of it. "I was very young, my parents had abandoned me in the city because they had been to poor to take care of me, and I had to fend for myself. It was then that I discovered alchemy. A young man came to me, barely old enough to call himself a man. He saw my potential; I'm not exactly sure how he did, but it happened. I worked with him for most of my childhood, learning alchemy from him. Little did I know that he worked for the military. He was some sort of secret alchemist or something, he never revealed to me what he was. All I remember is that he was researching the philosophers stone..... but I never found out what he was intending for it. He compiled so much information, it was astounding. Then one day, he told me he had to leave. I noticed that the shelves that held his research were bare, and he had only the bare essentials with him. He left and never came back..... I've been searching for some clue that I knew he would have left behind. The military never knew about me, but I became a State Alchemist so I could find out what happened to the man.... the man who taught me so much....." Centivir looked back down, relieved at finally being able to tell someone his tale. "The man's name," he paused, "was Gelu Valez. All I ever knew about him was that he was a colonel."

"Gelu Valez... Gelu Valez..." Roh shook her head. "Can't say that I've ever heard that name."

"You probably haven't," Centivir said quietly. "all record of his involvement with the military was destroyed before people could find out about him... he was a very important person."
